Strategically Planning A SWOT Analysis In Network Marketing

No matter what business you are in, you have to be able to perform an analysis on it so you may be able to monitor its condition and cast a vision on where you want to go in the future. I graduated from college with a business degree and many of my classes specifically discussed strategic planning. So as to graduate my senior project required my ability to plan and pass a business simulation model. This game was computer generated and would provide business reports primarily based on the economy and my decisions. I would then need to respond with acceptable business choices if i wanted to pass the course and graduate. Planning and preparation was critical to my achievement in this simulation.
The sort of planning that I was taught was to perform a SWOT analysis. This would identify my Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. This research would let me identify what I have open to me in order to succeed and overcome any difficulties. Although network marketing isn’t a traditional business that’s taught in most educational systems, I think all reps should complete something similar to a SWOT analysis on their own business should they want success. A network marketing analysis will be very helpful to you.
SWOT – The Perfect Network Marketing Analysis
Strengths – The strengths that you may have in your network marketing business would include your capability to easily speak to people and get them to watch a presentation. Now use this to your benefit so that you can get more people in front of your opportunity so they may make an intelligent decision.
Weaknesses – A weakness you’ll face in your network marketing business may be the undeniable fact that you are terrified of rejection. This is good that you would recognize this and now you know what you need to overcome. Read a book like “Go For No” which will help you defeat this feeling and make you want to go out there and achieve a pre-determined number of “no’s” every single day.
Opportunities – One of the best opportunities that is faced now in network marketing is that people are looking out for ways to achieve a further stream of income. The economy is not doing any favors to individuals with the traditional jobs and so they are looking out for something new.
Threats – On the flip side of that opportunity is that fact that people could be less willing to part with their money at the moment because of the bad economy. When you take note of your threats you just need to learn how to overcome them.
When I first learned the way to make a strategic plan I had difficulty knowing how to differentiate Strength versus Opportunity and Weakness vs. Threat. The best way to explain this is that Strengths and Weaknesses are going to be internal variables you control while Opportunities and Threats are external variables that are controlled by others.
I challenge you to go ahead and perform your own Network Marketing analysis using the SWOT method for yourself and your network marketing opportunity. Find out what you have available to you and the difficulties you are facing so that you can prepare the best plans possible for your success in this journey. By completing a network marketing analysis you will gain an insight into how better prepare yourself for success.

How Hunting Is Just Like Prospecting In Network Marketing

It is important for you to remain patient while prospecting in network marketing just like hunter is in search for his game. Although this sounds strange to some people, I love quietly sitting in the woods while waiting on a deer to come traipsing by ready to be harvested for a great meal. Although many people cannot even fathom the thought of sitting still in the freezing cold all day just to hunt, especially if they do not get anything. But for those that have never hunted and acquired their prize, you will not understand why people like me love it.
It is an exhilaration to claim your kill after the many hours you have persevered and waited. Those that have done this know exactly what I’m speaking of. You have patiently waited hoping and praying to see something when that deer comes through the woods appearing as if it came out of nowhere. If you are going to succeed in hunting you will need to be able to wait patiently for that deer. If you are expecting that beautiful 10 point buck to walk by your tree stand within the first half hour after the sun rises, you will be sorely disappointed.
While Prospecting In Network Marketing You Must Have This Same Patience!
If you’re going to succeed in network marketing you need to have the same approach as the hunter. You will need to realize that you must be patient. You may not sign up your first rep your first day, week, or even month. If I went out and sat for an hour and did not see a deer I would be kidding myself if I said there is nothing out there to shoot. Just like in network marketing, if I did not sign up a rep right away, it would be ridiculous to say this business doesn’t work.
You Must Be Patient While Prospecting In Network Marketing
Success requires patience and perseverance. It will be that person willing to stick it out that will succeed in the end. When you’re in the game long enough you will see results and feel that elation of accomplishing what you set out to do. Success with prospecting in network marketing is possible if you give it enough time.
Sometimes while you are hunting you may come across a deer that you will pass up. For one reason or another you will let that deer go. It may be because it’s too young and let it go hoping it’s still there next year or if it’s a buck, because it is not large enough and you’re waiting on that on trophy buck. Or you may see one, but you can’t get a good shot on him because of the distance and obstacles in the way such as trees.
But You Also Need To Stay Consistent While Prospecting In Network Marketing
Prospecting in network marketing is a game of going through enough people looking to find the ones that are hungry and have a desire to work with you. You will come across some great prospects at times, but because of various circumstances they will not join you in your enterprise. Whatever you do, you must remain consistent in your business because results will happen over time and the right people will always find you. Stay the course and you can succeed while prospecting in network marketing.

Doing What It Takes To Succeed In Network Marketing

By now you have spent a little time working on your network marketing business but haven’t begun to see any great results. What gives? You’re doing what your leaders are telling you to do. You have placed fliers on cars, handed out DVD’s & newsletters, done bandit signs, posted ads on Craigslist, attempted Attraction Marketing, maybe even used the $100 Drop Cards. Yet even doing all this, you still haven’t sponsored anyone.
I have been in this industry for some time now and have done each of these things to a certain degree. A few of these marketing techniques i have had success with, others not so much. Does that mean only some work? Not necessarily. Actually all these strategies will work to succeed in network marketing. So what is the difference? What matters is consistency in which you utilize whatever technique you find works best for yourself, your time constraints, your character & style.
You Need To Set Yourself Up To Succeed In Network Marketing
It’s insignificant how much time you really put into the business whether it’s ten hours a week or 80 hours a week. The most vital factor is the consistency in which you do it. If you’re working a fulltime job and only have 10 hours to devote to your business each week, you would like to do two hours each day, not all 10 hours in one day.
It is also critical to be certain you do the right things each day for your business. We’re all in this industry to make money. Irrespective of that, each day you have to be doing income-producing activities. What does that mean? It means you will need to be getting people in front of your business opportunity every single day. If you are part-time and need to be building your team quickly you must get 3 people each day in front a presentation. If you are fulltime you’ll need to get five people per day to look at a presentation to succeed in network marketing.
Make Sure You’re Doing Income Producing Activities To Succeed In Network Marketing
It is so easy to get wrapped up into non-income producing activities. Things such as reviewing the comp plan, writing blog content, getting lost on Facebook does not equal money. Sure it is great to be doing a number of these things so that you correctly represent your company or produce leads, for example. But you have to make sure you are doing income creating activities to succeed in network marketing.
It is important to be in a position to create leads in order to have to people watch your presentation. So as you are building your business you can generate leads in a variety of ways : online, offline, friends & family. It doesn’t really matter how you generate these leads, as each system will work. But as I suggested earlier, you need to get these people in front of a presentation so that a decision can be made in order to succeed in network marketing.
