Establishing Your Life Development Plan Through Your Chazown
One of the best books I’ve read that helps you establish a life development plan is called Chazown.
At the time I had read it, I was struggling at knowing if my life was headed in the right direction.
Chazown has helped clarify that for me as the word is actually the Hebrew word for Vision.
This is allowed me to realize the exact vision that I believe God has for my life and has solidified that through a variety of factors.
“Where There Is No Vision, The People Perish.” – Proverbs 29:18
Craig Gro
eschel does an excellent job at getting you think about your core values, spiritual gifts, and past experiences.
Once you can identify these three aspects of your life, then the vision for your life development plan can clearly become more in focus.
In the book your core values are defined as “The things you’d be willing to die for.”
They explain how you come by your personal priorities.
Through a simple exercise I was able to develop my top 5 core values.
These are things that I value the absolute most in life and is why I do certain things in my life or even NOT do certain things.
That’s because they don’t fit into my core values. The following are simply my personal core values and yours will obviously be different.
- Character
- Excellence
- Generosity
- Perseverance
- Personal Growth
If you do not know what your spiritual gifts are, you can complete an easy test to determine what your God-given gifts are.
“As Romans 12:6 states, “We have different gifts according to the grace given us.”
These gifts that we have are what allows us to do things well in life.
Finding The Vision For Your Life Development Plan
Once you know your core values and spiritual gifts while understanding your past experiences, you will be able to fully understand the vision God has for your life and even create your own personal vision statement.
The very center of those three will be your vision because your Chazown is where they will all tie-together.
When I evaluated these three factors of my life, I created my own vision statement.
“To empower people to change their lives physically & financially – assisting 1,000 people to achieve a 6 figure income so that they can focus their lives on things are are important: family, relationships, God, etc.”
I developed this through realizing that in my past experiences I have enjoyed being involved in ministry – including support activities for church planting.
The problem is that church planting in North America is not as sexy as international missions and therefore monies for this purpose are not as easily accessible.
So I wanted to create an income base in which I can support those activities while also actively being involved in ministry.
On the other side of that, several years ago I lost 40 pounds and developed a passion for weight loss and helping others physically.
I have decided that the Body by Vi Challenge is what is going help me realize that passion while providing the income stream for my other passions of life.
Succeeding In Your Life Development Plan
Just because you have created this vision for your life does not mean it’s going to happen.
You have actually take action now in order for it to become a reality.
Your vision is obviously going to be something that is going to take work and time to accomplish.
You’re also going to need to dedicate yourself to this process and rely on others for help.
Most importantly its going to take prayer and a relationship with God to accomplish your vision.
You will probably also need the help of others to accomplish your goals.
Relationship are big and should held dearly.
Your vision is going to take work, take some time today to begin praying about what God has in store for your life.
If you’re not sure what you should be doing or what some direction, I would highly advise you to pick up a copy of Chazown right here.
This is an excellent book and should be read anyone wanting a further understand of the life development plan.
